Opening Doors and Pushback

Featured Replies

Dear all,I have two issues with FS2004.First: I understand that pressing Shift+E+2 will open the second exit for planes that have them. However, sometimes it works, some times it doesn't. I have tried every possible combination in pressing those keys Slow, fast, soft, hard, etc..ect...), but still get the mixed result. Sometimes the second exit opened, or I keep getting "Main Exit Open/Closing" message as I repeatedly pressing Shift+E+2 keys.Second: I also experienced mixed result with pushbacks. Sometimes I got the plane to turn right or left, sometimes the plane just backing up indefinitely. Someone on this forum has suggested to change the Shift+P combination to back-slash key. But this does not guarantee 100% succes to turn the plane during pushback. I still get mixed success. Is this another bug in FS2004, as we do not have this issue with FS2002? Or, are there any possible solution to this? I understand that other simmers already have this problem.Regards, japangg

Firstly For the Door I would Re-assigned the CombinationTo just a Single Key Personally I use the "D" key for the Doors and it works all thetimeSecondly Download the Pushback utility in AVSIM And your pushbacks will turn anyway you want everytime AVSIM Search:rcbpb-20.zipCheers

In Your Control Assignments page Just change the exit prompt to "D"Than when you opn cargo or service Just hit D+2And as for the Sound not working in 2004 Could be, I actually Fly VATSIM online %99.9Of the time and have disabled the sound Nothing like having Ground talk to you when the puskback crew is talking

Hi,The utility itself works fine, only the sound doesn't.Note: I will release a new version for FS2002 AND FS9 (with sounds) within a few weeks.Rob

In FS2002, the trick with getting the plane to turn on pushback was to make sure that the 1 or 2 key was the very next key you push after starting pushback. If you start pushback and then switch to spot view to "check six," then 1 and 2 will revert back to ATC selection control and will not turn the plane.

can you tell me the shortcut to the pushback utility for fs2004 that someone mentioned in an earlier post.
