October 26, 200322 yr Does anyone know if I need some flatten switches in T Kwongs Kia TAkv2. Every time I install it, I get a swath of grass across the runway as I pass 250ft. ( and yes Mark, I have used the lawn mower, many times)Every time I land, the aircraft disapears under the grass for about 100yds.Russell.PS. Have you seen those crazy motorcyclists on th LI. yet Mark.
October 26, 200322 yr Helps if you read the inclosed readme.txt file in the VHHH zip file doesnt it? :DFrom the file:2.Add the following lines to the scenery.cfg[Area.xxx]Title=Chek_Lap_KokLayer=xxActive=TRUELocal=sceneryvhhh2004sceneryRemote=Required=FALSEExclude=N22 19.67,E113 53.13,N22 17.50,E113 57.30,objects, vorsFlatten.0=20,N22 21.03,E113 57.80,N22 17.54,E113 56.98,N22 17.23,E113 53.41,N22 19.18,E113 53.04EDIT: I noticed you call it Kai Tak, you do mean the new Chep Lap Kok airport right? If you are referring to the old airport then disregard the above flatten and exclude files all together.
October 26, 200322 yr Whoa there, CargoMun, he means Kai Tak, the world's greatest airport. In flightsim, anyway, since 1998 ...Russell, V2 requires no exclude and flatten switches, V3 does. However, what sim are you running this in? Remember both were designed for FS2000 and have never been updated. I run V3 in FS2002 with no problems (except abysmal FPS) and eagerly await his FS2004 version which is promised. I've tried installing V3 in FS2004 - with exclude and flatten lines - but am getting random crashes, so there may be an issue. Still testing ...Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontP.S. Have yet to spot your motorcyclists, Russell, although given that I steer clear of the LIE whenever I can, maybe I never will, hopefully!http://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
October 27, 200322 yr Author Cargomun, why would I call Chep Lap Kok Kia Tak ? Do you call your mother "father?" But thanks for your answer anyway.Mark,I'm running fs2002. I tried v2 (again ) because of the fps, but it looks like I'll have to go back to v3. Thanks.Russell.
