it's multitextexturing. it allows your textures to be clearer up close...depending on your card...at the cost of performance.

Would this affect computer performance in connection with internet obtained weather? Last weekend, I had a thread running regarding stutters and internet weather. Despite high frames (mid-teens); it stutters every 3 - 4 seconds and only with internet obtained weather. Even when the weather is clear.If I use the weather themes though, no stutters. It's mind boggling. So, I had someone recommend today to turn off the render-to-texture. I'm trying to understand what that feature has to do with internet weather and the st-st-st-stutters. BobL
