USPS INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING REINSTATED (1/11/2010):We do not recommend international customers use USPS as a shipping option. Tracking information is occasionally spotty, and delivery deadlines are not guaranteed. Choosing USPS to ship your international package is done AT YOUR OWN RISK. We encourage the use of FedEx for international customers.============================================================SHIPPING STATUS:To check the status of your order:1. Log into your PMDG Store account.2. Select "View Previous Orders" from the menu.3. Select the order id number for your manual order.On the actual order page that comes up:IF YOUR ORDER HAS SHIPPED:a. You will see a column next to the item's price labeled "Status" - below in this column next to the item you will see "Shipped".b. At the bottom of the page, you will see a "Shipping Information" section - this will contain all the relevant information including your tracking number if applicable.IF YOUR ORDER HAS NOT SHIPPED:a. You will not see a Status column with "Shipped" next to the item.b. You will see only "This order has been processed" at the bottom of the page, there will be no "Shipping information section". "Processed" in this context refers to PMDG's internal store system, not anything to do with shipping.SHIPPING TIMES:All quoted shipping times are from the day that your order is actually shipped from the printer, they do NOT include production time. The printer tries very hard to get any order submitted before 3PM US central time printed and shipped on the same day however they are a small company and the demand for these manuals has exceeded ours and their expectations. If it takes a few days to get your manuals produced, that's just the way it is, there's nothing that can be done to speed it up.TRACKING NUMBERS:- All Fed Ex shipping options, domestic USA and international WILL generate a tracking number.- USPS Express Main and Priority Mail WILL generate a tracking number.Click here to check a FedEx Tracking NumberClick here to check a USPS Tracking NumberPRINT QUALITY QUESTIONS:Some diagrams that appear in these manuals are inexplicably created using an inverse background. In other words, the authors elected to draw some diagrams, such as the profile view of the airplane in white against a black background. The natural offshoot to this design decision is that such diagrams can be hard on printing machinery, which are naturally optimized for black on white.We have seen a few reports of "fading" and "weak printing" where the black backgrounds have fade-through areas or imperfections in the printing. We have reviewed these reports with the printer and reviewed them against other options and we have determined that these imperfections are normal and not unexpected for this type of document.Even with these imperfections, the quality grade of these manuals is higher than those issued to line pilots. (We compared some of the reports to Capt. Randazzo's airline issued manuals, and the quality of ours is SIGNIFICANTLY better.) We could, in theory, eliminate the imperfections by going to full color printing on gloss paper, but cost of the manuals would easily exceed $1,000... (This must be why nobody offers such an option to real-world pilots.)IF YOU STILL BELIEVE YOU NEED TO CONTACT US ABOUT YOUR ORDER:Do not post on the forum or send PMs to PMDG members.
