I was wondering what airports in San Diego And los Angeles if you were to hire a charter plane (Say a King Air or small business jet like the falcon 50) would they fly into. Don't think it would be the main airports (Ksan, Klax) would it? Trying to setup some realistic flights. Thanks.

Hi,San Diego info:Closest to downtown San Diego: Montgomery Field (KMYF)In the East County, in El Cajon: Gillespie Field (KSEE)In the North County, in Palomar/Carlsbad: McClellan Palomar Airport (KCRQ)All would be applicable to your situation.Hope this helps,

Hi,For the LA area you have a number of options:KHHR: Hawthorne airport very close to KLAXKLGB: Long Beach, just south and east of LAX has regular commercial serviceKTOA: Torrance, south of KLAX (though in real life they do not sell jet fuel, but that does not stop Bizjets and Turbo props from operating there)KSMO: Santa Monica, just north of KLAXKVNY: Van Nuys, north of KLAX in the San Fernando Valley (a lot of charters are based here for Hollywood)KBUR: Burbank, north of KLAX in the San Fernando Valley (a lot of charters are based here for Hollywood and has regular commercial service)KSNA: Santa Ana (John Wayne, Orange County) South of LAX between Long Beach and the San Diego airportsHope this helps,Scott

Actually, (over the years), I've seen plenty of small business jets and twin turboprops land at both KLAX and KSAN. I think that the majority don't want to simply because of the amount and the type of traffic at both of the airports. Also, the smaller area airports are much more convenient to navigate. Anyway, they might get crushed if a big heavy didn't see them taxiing at KLAX or KSAN so it's much safer to land at an airport that has the smaller stuff :)Mark
