December 29, 201015 yr In the generally excellent PSS 777, I am puzzled by the lack of a "TRK-MAG" display mode on the Navigation Display. It is constantly in HDG-MAG mode and cannot be changed to TRK-MAG as in the Boeing 747-400 by PMDG, no matter which of the four nav display types you select (APP-VOR-MAP-PLN). When flying in LNAV in MAP mode in the PSS 777, the magenta track line is displayed. but because of winds aloft the track line is always angled away from the head-up or 12-noon position as a result of always showing the HDG-MAG mode. There is a HDG-TRK reference switch on the MCP in the 777 that I can click, and while that works, the Nav Display still only shows HDG-MAG mode.Am I doing something wrong or has PSS simulated the 777 Nav Display and various display mode options realistically?Appreciate any replies, thanks.JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
