December 30, 201015 yr At first, when I started using Tileproxy on the intro island, St. Maarten's I thought wow ACES were so accurate that the island looked like the real thing anyway! How naive I was, because when I went to Cairo to see the pyramids, I noticed this:The pyramids and some of the map are still completely default. PLEASE tell me there is a work around.
December 30, 201015 yr Since it's been a couple years since I flew the Cairo area, I had forgotten this issue.Since it shows on top of surface texture, it almost had to be something that was being treated as an "object" that had higher priority than any surface scenery tile...In your Scenery\0702\scenery folder there is a Giza_image.bgl; if you change the name to Giza_image.bgl.XXX (so it is no longer a valid scenery file type, it will "go away".Default things shouldn't be deleted, just disabled or moved to an inactive location.Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
December 30, 201015 yr I suppose there's plenty others to disable this way like St.Maarten. Thanks again Lloyd, you've been very helpful.
