December 30, 201015 yr Hi GuysI had recently uninstalled FS9 to give space to try FSX, however, after a couple of weeks missing my addons, I have now decided to reinstall FS9.This is where my problem starts, as my installation discs are not being read by my DVD drive. Occassionally the setup.exe interface will autostart, but a double click produces no hard drive activity. Selecting the application from within windows explorer also has no effect. The DVD drive will autostart other applications from a DVD and the FS9 disc set I am using is brand new, bought as my original set was scratched.Any offers of help would be appreciated. Thanks in advanceStuart Sutton-Young

December 30, 201015 yr Hello, Could any files have been corrupted during the uninstall? Nothing to do with your problem ...Think again .. why (IF) some files stay behind from your former installation will deny a setup process on a CD to start ??Well .. apparently it's seem that your disk N°1 got a problem ....Test:Try to copy paste the entire CD N°1 in a temporary folder on your hard disk.If this not succeed .. you will be certain your disk N°1 is out of use (cause scratches or any other reasons)If you succeed ... burn the result on a CD and start your install from this CD !Regards.Gus.
