FS9 VS. FSX Multi Monitor

Featured Replies

Has anyone figured out what the difference is in multi-monitor setup between FS9 and FSX? I can get FS9 to work exactly as I want, but not FSX.I have WinXP SP3 with NVidia GTX series graphics as a basis. My main monitor is a 24" Widescreen LED, and my 2nd monitor is just a basic 17" LCD display set up in dual-view mode. With FS9, I can have FULLSCREEN on my main display, and have PDF tutorials, weather programs, checklists, etc...on my 2nd display. In FSX I can't do this - only a blank screen which is usable only to transfer my aircraft's panels over - which is fine, except when I need to reference outside programs. FS9 still allows the panel components to be transferred over.Just want to know if anyones cracked this - perhaps a fix in the fsx config files or something? Obviously I don't have a hardware or graphics problem, otherwise FS9 would behave the same.

Rather than fullscreen, run FSX in windowed mode (runs better too!) Then slide your FSX undocked windows to the other monitor, and of course you will not have any problems at all with running non-FSX apps as well.Cheers,- jahman.

Yeah, I was hoping to run fullscreen. But no matter - I've got a 24" widescreen, so I shouldn't complain.
