January 1, 201115 yr Hi everyone,Hope someone can help. I have just got myself a new PC running Windows 7 (64bit) and I would like to preserve all my saved flights, FSX settings and configurations, and flight log, from my old PC running Windows Vista (32 bits). I plan to re-install all the add-ons planes and scenery and environment enhancements. Can you please tell me what are the files that I should copy over to FSX after I run the install in the new PC. Thank you.Regards,Sunny
January 1, 201115 yr You should probably retweak fsx again for performance after you get a new hardware configuration, I dont think saving the old settings and using them on a new config would be very useful at all. In any case, most of the settings are stored in C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.cfg. Flight plans and saved flights are located in C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files

January 2, 201115 yr When I added Win7 and Acceleration to my box (XP and FSX/SP1), I brought over my logbook, awards, Controls (standard.xml), and aircraft records. Additionally, Documents\My Pictures and My Videos can also have fSX subfolders if you saved stuff there with FSX functions. FSX.cfg will build anew, but many tweaks can probably be copied directly from the previous version.Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
