Traffic jam at KEWR

Featured Replies

There I was in Olys Dash 8 at KEWR. Got my IFR clearance to KWWD. Passengers loaded up. Everything good to go. Pushed back at 1835hrs and began to taxi.....and then standstill! I was in a long line, #12. lotsa Continental. some United, and an Air France in front waiting their turn. I had to have burned a good 600lbs of fuel just sitting there. It even rain off and on. I finally went wheels at at exactly 1900hrs. Incredible. What a neat, but long, experience. Gotta love PAI/AFCAD/FS9!!Part of the long wait was that ATC was landing them on the same runway. Is there any tweak/fix to make departing/arriving flights on seperate runways?

Sounds like a pretty realistic Departure out of KEWR to me :)Regards.Ernie.

Hi"Is there any tweak/fix to make departing/arriving flights on seperate runways?"Probably not at present. Look at the extensive discussion about "runway tweaking" in PAI-AFCAD forum in this thread:http://www.flightsimmer.com/forums/showthr...=&threadid=2836Looks like we have to wait for the MS SDK and some later versions of AFCAD2.Walter
