January 5, 201115 yr What version of Windows are you running?Sounds like a UAC - User Access Control problem. UAC needs to be turned off for FSX to run properly. If UAC is off, check the last Program Error and copy and paste the info here.Cheers,- jahman.
January 5, 201115 yr I see nothing in the .xml version of the Event Viewer that indicates a problem with FSX. EventID 7001 relates to Service Start operations in the Service Control Manager and refers to "WinLogon": http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/event-id-7001-service-start-operations.aspx . You could also have a corrupt logbook and that can be fixed by running the utility at the following site: http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads-cat-102.html . I also agree with the comments made by jahman. The Event Viewer should contain more data about the crash under the General tab but I know you cannot copy and paste that data and can only copy and paste the .xml stuff. Good luck finding the problem.Best regards, Jim

January 10, 201115 yr TSId2UserSidS-1-5-21-2953968592-2192220048-3963967790-1001Last error .Regards JoeThat is not an error message. It's a SID or Security Identifiers. Here's an explanation: http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10878_11-5034635.html . Again, you need to go to the Event Viewer and look for the specific error when your crash occurred. Just hit the Start button, type Event Viewer in the Search and then look up in the menu and you'll see the link to the Event Viewer. Open it up and you'll see Custom Views. Click on that and you'll see Administrative Events and on the right you'll see all the different errors. You probably know this already since you gave us an XML version of an error in your original post but you need to look under the General Tab and write down what it states and relay the info to us so we might help. Was there a faulting module? An exception code? What were you doing when the crash occurred?Best regards,Jim
