FS2004 crashes when flying in vatsim....

Featured Replies

Please help me as i have no idea what to do next..Every time I try to enjoy a vatsim flight, after 15 - 30 min my screen goes black and i get the familiar error msg stating that "fs9 has encountered.." - i click a box in it for details and it says "util.dll".I am running fs9, sbrelay12, sbhost.exe, sb (2.3 (b5)) and rw (not the version..). Is it possible that one of these is causing the problems.. or has the file util.dll nothing to do with the constant crashing?ThanksPetteriEFHKMy system:amd xp1700+512 mb ramati 9600newest omega driverswin2000

Hi,Have you installed service pack 4? If so, it is causing Flight Simulator to crash occasionally. I do not believe that MS has offered a fix as of todate. The only cure is to roll back SP4 or upgrade to windows xp. I am getting the crash with win2000pro and SP4. I send every friggin error report to MS. I don't expect them to fix anything.BobP :)

Thanks Bob!I do indeed have SP4 for win2000 installed. That the source of my problem could be sp4 is good to know (especially when I'll update to xp maybe tomorrow.. ;)), because i have had all kind of suspicions about my hardware (compabilities..).My last flight yesterday was offline with the same ****** crashing (util.dll) again. Another module that has caused me problems is g2d.dll with same kind of behaviour as util.dll.Petteri
