QRH availability with the download package

Featured Replies

Hi everyoneIt's been a while since I last checked out the NGX threads, so bear with me if this has been already answered or discussed .Simple question, has PMDG sorted out the license thing to include the pdf version of the NGX's QRH with the product download? If not and not going to happen, would it be possible to include some sort of unlicensed / unofficial version of it like in previous releases? Thanks in advance

please? this is important. I mean what's the point of a failure system without a QRH?

We don't know yet. What is so "important" that you have to have this information this second anyway? The plane is not out yet.

Ok, thanks, Please consider the unlicensed QRH just in case

If Boeing says we can't do it, then we're not doing it. We're not going to go behind their back with some "unlicensed" thing. Failures are a super-advanced feature as it is that hardly anyone uses - I'm not sure it's much of a stretch thinking that someone who cares so much about using them won't have a problem buying the printed QRH if it comes to that.

I care about failures, but I'm not going to buy a printed QRH, I will simply have a lowered opinion of Boeing.

Well, I've always been a loyal PMDG supporter and praised all your products like they deserve, but this is a bummer. I'm sorry but looks to me like Boeing has nothing to do with this, and it's a move to have a "premium" release where you'll need to buy the QRH if you want to be able to use the failure system. Even if that's the case it's your business and it's up to you to set things as you will. But the QRH is not cheap, add the huge shipping fees an taxes where applied for those of us who don't live in the States. The QRH itself will cost more than the plane itself which doesn't make sense to me.I'm sorry but I can't see how boeing would care all of a sudden about a "lite" pdf version of the QRH when it was no problem with the NG, B744 or the MD-11, or the rest of boeing plane developers for FSX

I assure you that is not the case, you can believe whatever you want, but that doesn't make it true. It didn't make any sense to us when Boeing wouldn't let us publish the MD-11 performance data either. They're a gigantic company with an army of lawyers and we really don't have any say when they tell us we can't do something. That's the truth.
