Hydraulic Pump Causes Brake Failure

Featured Replies

Hi guys, just hoping someone knows even roughly where to start on this one. I've been using my Ju-52 "Auntie Ju" for a few weeks now and am still trying to sort out a few issues. I suppose the major one is the hydraulic system, which is currently hijacked by a strange bug ...On selecting and loading the aircraft in FS 2004 it works fine, (differential) brakes function as normal. The problem comes in after start-up of  number 2, which is the one fitted with the aircraft's only hydraulic pump. As soon as the hydraulic pressure settles on the normal ~1050 psi, the brakes are gone, gone as in FS 2004 does not react to brake input at all, even though the brake pressure gauge on the panel clearly shows an increase. So in terms of aircraft systems, the brake is fully functional; but the plane does not slow down and is treated as not being equipped with brakes by FS 2004.What I've tried so far is adjusting the normal hydraulic pressure in aircraft.cfg, but no luck there as of yet ... any ideas anyone?Cheers,Stefan

#1 way to 'cure' strange behaviors in FS addon aircraft -

  • create a flight at the depature airport and select a DEFAULT FS aircraft, say the cessna 172
  • load FS and turn OFF the engine and confirm the batt and avionics masters are ON.
  • wait about 10ish seconds and use FS's pull-down menu to select the addon aircraft

if the above doesn't help communicate with the devleopment team. maybe a rebuild of te FS9.cfg and/or you may have a system understanding issue----
