January 17, 201115 yr Dear Friends.I am thinking about upgrading my graphic card (today I have Nvidia GTS250)And I wonder what kind of graphic card I can upgrade to, to get as much as possible out of my computer/FSX.These are my computer spec:ACER (M5810) Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bitIntelCore i5Processor 7508GB DDR3Nvidia GTS250So, my questione is, how can I get more out of FSX? Is a better graphic card the solution? And if thats the case, wich sould I choose?Best regardsPer StåhleSweden
January 17, 201115 yr A faster graphics card can help, especially if you run very high graphical settings including resolution and AA. FSX is primarily CPU-bound though, so the faster your processor the better it will run. Since you have an OEM system however, your options are very limited as overclocking is out of the question and the 1156 platform only offers CPUs that are slightly faster than what you have now at the high-end.
January 17, 201115 yr Per,If that Acer have a 500W PSU you have to be careful when choosing a graphics card. Use a PSU calculator to check that your system won't exceed the limits of your existing PSU.Ha en trevlig kväll, Per Har du kollat in vad Lennart Arvidssons och de andra i SWED2011-teamet har på gång?
