January 20, 201115 yr This has been debated before, but would like opinions on FSX (high end system)............what is the best way to start FSX??................I normally oen the FSX by clicking "Fly now", and it takes a few minutes to load thru all the scenery and textures, before I get to the glider at Friday Harbor.............OR, I can select an airport and a aircraft, time, etc........and this will load .in half the time or less,........so with less time it must mean that not all the textures have been installed, correct??.............will appreciate the answers and technical explanation.......thanks, B42L8
January 20, 201115 yr Hi,In those 2 cases everything that needs to load gets loaded. You are not bypassing any scenery or textures. Friday Harbor is fairly complex, so choosing an area less complex will take less time. If you don't want to start every time at the Fly now screen, there are ways to start FSX directly into a default flight that you have set up.
