Hi everyone, I've recently noticed this problem, specifically for Flytampa KSFO (the same problem is much less noticable at other airports). The Flytampa developers seem to make alot of use of LOD to keep the framerates high, so for example gates and other objects disappear when you're not close to them. That's fine, but the problem is the whole airport disappears when you're only like 10 or 12 miles away (see screenshots). This is completely reproducable, eg. if you slew back and forth through the "threshold distance" the airport disappears then reappears. I have a fairly powerful PC (i7 860 @ 2.8GHz, 4GB ram, GTX260) and I've tried playing with different parameters in the FS9.cfg but without luck so far. Of course the FS9 settings are all maxed out (including the sight distance). So are other people having the same problem? Is it fixable or does it have to do with Flytampa's FPS-friendly design? Thanks,Al

The LOD information is contained within the scenery model itself. Only the author of the scenery with the original model data file can change the LOD information it contains.Regards, Mike Mann
