FSX Sound Problems

Featured Replies

On all aircraft i'm having a problem with my sounds. It seems no matter how I adjust my sound settings there is always this load ambient airport noise. Even with Environment set very low. I just cannot find a sweet spot with the sounds. fEven with the engines off it seems there is always way to much noise for what should be there. My sound settings for soundcard are set correctly but is there a tutorial or anything regarding how tosetup sounds on FSX? Thanks

Hi Dobes,Not sure what type of sound you are hearing or at what times they occur, but will relate what I experience: my sound (like a growl) sometimes comes when on the ground and I switch views from outside to cockpit. It doesn't happen all the time. I get rid of it, by just hitting the Q key. When in flight, this sound never appears. I put my problem down to my importing certain B744 sounds (more realistic) from another source and combining them with the default sounds supplied in FSX (ie. aliases with B738). I don't believe it is my sound card: drivers are up to date and have not had the problem before importing these other sounds. Hope this helps in some way.Chris David
