Multiplayer Fatal Error
I figured it out. The router that we use for wifi in my house connects 3 computers. Somehow (Not a router professional) but all 3 computers were essentially using the same IP. So I went into the router settings and gave eac individual device it's own IP. This solved the problem. The wierd thing is , is it worked for awhile. But I'm not about to dive into figuring that out lol Thanks for the help and the Ideas though

FSX on 27inch WLED
dobes replied to dobes's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI was in a pitch black room at night with all lights off except monitor which is how I fly FSX, because I mainly fly at night after my kids go to bed. I didn't see any type of hue or white bleeding from the edges.

FSX on 27inch WLED
dobes replied to dobes's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI checked it out last night and I don't have any type of white hue coming from any of the corners. I do have 1mm of super faint brightness coming from around all edges but in all honesty you have to look for it. If you were just looking at the screen or on a regular flight you will not notice it. The one problem with the monitor I have had is occasionally I will have to jump back into CCC and adjust my resolution back. I'm still looking for this bug but it very rarely happens.

dobes replied to dobes's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcDefinetley was pricy. It was a spur of the moment buy but I have to say I am very impressed with the colors, the efficiency and the options. Can't go wrong with it.

FSX on 27inch WLED
dobes replied to dobes's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcYou guys are funny. I'll admit it yes I am a mega lurcher. I've been flight simming for years and if my identy was given and I actually stayed with the Flightsim community some of you might actually still know who I am. I was a big guy in the VA world with NWA et al, started US Airways VA, helped start and develop the website and ran America West VA and eventually started and ran Spirit Airlines VA. I"m not looking for cookies but I do see your point Word Not Allowed but yes I was excited. Anyways I just got a new system and I don't have the money or the time to build an FSX dedicated rig. I needed a multifunctional platform. So here it goes, I bought a HP s5-1160 slimline computer with a HP 2711 WLED monitor. It has I5, 8 gigs of ddr3 and all the other fun stuff that comes with a packaged computer. I replaced the graphics card with this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102958 And I have to say I am very very happy, I am running FSX at all sliders right except for Scenery Complexity at very Dense and autogen at dense. I am getting avg 25 to 30 FPS. I couldnt be happy for a pre made rig. Honestly it came with a 6450 512mb ATI Card which really didn't do that bad but I wanted the extra speed in the core and the 1 gig of mem. I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers just got excited as the biggest thing I had before was 22 in led monitor but the WLED and the 5in are just an OMG I mean when your preparing for T/O and your runway actually covers from left to right like in real life you get kinda excited!

Corrupt Video
Am I really the only one with corrupt video? The game installs fine and all screens are normal until I get into the sim part. Once I sim loads I can here the lady talk but the screen is just jagged traingles and total corruption. Ive tried updating my drivers , reinstall and adjusting the settings. Totally weird. And like I said I run FSX fine on high settings.

Corrupt Video
Installed Flight and even changing the settings on my graphics I am not able to run flight. Just a collage of corrupt video. It runs the game with the voices in the background but does not display at all. I'm running on my HP laptop that is I5 with 8 gigs of ram with a ATI HD6370, I updated the drivers but it meets all the specs. I run FSX on this system with med to high settings and get a constant 20 to 25 FPS. Thanks for any help.

For those who haven;t see this yet, PMDG chimes in on FLIGHT
I am completely open to the X plane platform. I am impressed by some aspects of xplane and upset at others which certainly could be said for most anything.I am no marketing or small business genius either and I appreciate the fact that PMDG , ORBX and others will take a look at Xplane. But as John stated , while they will take a look at a transition or a joint venue into both platforms , common sense tells me that it would be a very risky move that could in fact make or break years of effort and not to forget about being profitable for such a small group of dedicated individuals. I guess at this point we should be happy with what we have and hope for the best. I don't see to much changing even after flight is released, but my whole attitude is one of thanks to companies like PMDG and ORBX (And several others) and thats where my loyalty lies. As Rob said once PMDG was involved with inputting on FLIGHT and PMDG stuck to its guns MS dropped them like a hot potato. That just tells me 1 thing and it's all I need to know. MS will never be in the simmers corner, I understand they need to make profit but look at this blustering community of people willing to spend their money on add ons. And MS saw an avenue of missed revenue and went about it completely the wrong way IMO.

Buckster the problem is, is that MS originally had in mind the "Flight Sim Community" towards development. If they took that approach, then with MS resources available to them, they could afford to put together a 3rd party team like a "PMDG" and make their own add ons. Instead greed and corporate sales idiots got in the way of what is basically a whole platform and genre of simulation gaming much in whole as an xbox or PS3. They saw hey these guys are making money when we only sell 1 copy of 1 product, they are selling several thousands of copies of various smaller projects. The sad thing is that this is no surprise. This completely falls in line with corporate greed. FSX is where its gonna be at for the forseeable future and thats that.

And PMDG is completely correct,The Aces team was right on Q with creating the next gen simulation platform. When they booted Aces the greed took over and as PMDG described their greed into getting a piece of the secondary market took over. As far as I'm concerned MS burned bridges with this move. Someone or some company will come out with a better platform. I at the least want to thank PMDG for sticking to their guns and not caving into the the corporate BS. FSX is just fine for now and can only get better with the next gen hardware coming out. I spent $3000 dollars on a computer to run FSX about 4 years ago and now I run it nice and smooth off of a stock HP Laptop. Plain and simple PMDG is a great company and they have my support.
