pc signal to tv converter

has anyone run their PC direct into a tv? i heard their is a converter out there but maybe the signal gets degraded. Just thought it would be cool to run fs9 on a widescreen

Some wide screen HDTV sets have a either the newer digital shape pc input or the standard high density 15 pin svga input socket. Those might show a tolerable pix. If you have a converter that gives RGB witch sync on green or external sunc option and your TV set can take that (component input) you may get a reasonable pix, but not as sharp as an intended pc input.If you get a converter for a standard low def tv set that converts the pc output to vcomposite modulated r-f on a channel, you'll find it probably very unsatisfactory in the loss of detail.
