Tom, perhaps the reason you can't find it in the manual is that you're not fully understanding what we have said.The very first reply to this thread, in very clear terms, explained how the FMC has little to do with instrument landing. After that, a few others have also said similar, and I will say again: besides tuning the frequencies, it does nothing to allow/disallow the approach.By the way, the manual does mention what you were looking for in the FCOM, supplemental procedures section (SP.30.5). It is the fifth full paragraph on the page. It specifically mentions the logic requires both the AP and ATS engaged. It also mentions that it will continue that logic test down to 400, at which point it will force the AP to disengage at 100.
