February 12, 201115 yr Been flying the MD11 for a while now, not had any problems until now.Set everything up, flying in the cruise and started to mess with some of the autopilot. Problem number 1After this, whatever i ended up clicking (may not necessarily have been on the FCP) it has frozen the button clicks, and i get the message 'BUTTON PUSH IGNORED' appear in the scratchpad on the CDU. I can't clear this, or indeed do anything else as all button poushes are well, ignored. The buttons move, but nothing happens. Anyone had htis? or know how to undo whatever it was I have done? Thanks in advance. Dean Preece
February 12, 201115 yr Author Just to add, the aircraft seems to be flying nicely still on the FMC (although i cant change that now) the displays have also frozen. They show me at FL245 for example, where fsx actually says I'm at FL260 (by pressing shift+z). Dean Preece
February 12, 201115 yr You should be able to clear the message. It seems to happen if you click the same key twice rapidly. Nathan
February 12, 201115 yr The "BUTTON PUSH IGNORED" displays on the CDU when you press fastly two button in rapid sequence. It says you that the computer cannot process fastly your double request, so you have to repress the specific button. You have to clear the scratchpad wia the CLR key and then you can continue the work in the CDU.Cheers, Paolo Fumagalli "Everyday is a new flight, with new system to learn, new failures to prevent and new database to update..."
February 12, 201115 yr Author Ahh yes I see, makes sense. In that case then I think I may have had a gerneral error, as pressing most buttons had no effect on anything. They moved, but said action was not carried out. All screens were frozen and the autopilot did disconnect in the end so I had to restart. Thanks for the effort in helping, it is much appreciated Dean Preece
