I have V3.9 Cat drivers and control panel for FS9The panel has a tab for "Smart Shader Effects" with about 7 different options. I have mine set for "NO Effect" by default.Does anyone know how this could be set to optimize the flight sim

The Smart Shader Effects are a bit of a gimmick in my opinion. Try messing around with them -- they're kind of neat, but I don't see any real use for realism-based computing such as flight simming. Setting them to "No Effect" is really the only option if you want the sim to look right. They're basically like adding visual filters to any 3D app to do things like make the image black and white, or doing odd things with the color rendition, etc. There's promise there for a "different" kind of gaming experience, but it's got little to do with optimizing for FS IMHO.thanks,
