FS2004 Stops Responding

Featured Replies

I suddenly can't get into FS2004. When I try, the title page appears for about 3 seconds, then it disappears. I've tried rebooting. Any solution? Help! I'm suffering withdrawal pains.Raffie

Hi Raffie,I would ask yourself what edits, tweaks, driver updates ect. you might have done lately. And, I'll give the same suggestion I give often when I'm not too sure what other one to give. Which is, rename your FS9.cfg file to something else like 'FS9.cfg.old' and then it will build a fresh new one and you can see if that cures it. If not, you can always rename the old one back to FS9.cfgJim

Are you using CD4 or one of the NoCD methods. If you are using the CD ,just check that it is clean(IE: no fingerprints or whatever). This happened to my son's system a few weeks ago and the cause appeared to be a dirty CD- once cleaned all worked OK.Good luckDave

I had this problem and found that "some file" in the World/scenery folder was corrupted. Had to relaod that folder from the CD. Dick Boley KLBE

Have you an idea which file became corrupted? I looked in the cd's but all the information stored there seems to be zipped/packaged in some way and I can't figure out where anything is.Colin
