February 26, 201115 yr I have had another virus and have to reinstall all programs.I have FSX on separate internal drive.Can I install GEX,UTX,FEX,Xgraphics and any other FS programs on a external HD so I might not have to reinstall if C drive crashes or gets a virus?Thanks,Ron Bring back Chief Illiniwek!University of Illinois.
February 26, 201115 yr Hi,GEX doesn't matter as once the textures are installed, you don't run it again. You can put it and the backup it produces on the ED.UTX can be.X Graphics can be.

February 26, 201115 yr UTX can be.UTX was designed to be installed within the primary FSX folder structure. Problems can occur if it is installed elsewhere.
February 26, 201115 yr When you download the program and during set up, those things can be done on an ED. Yes, UT will install itself into your FSX folder.
