February 27, 201115 yr I loaded fsx onto win 7 osthings work fine but i cannot move my plane with skew key. as soon as i press key then all i see out the cockpit view is the plane spinning around 360 deg. anybody had this problem?thanks any help apprieciated
February 28, 201115 yr If as soon as you hit the Slew key your airplane starts spinning wildly, check your rudder. If you have rudder pedals or a twisty-joystick, make sure it's perfectly centered... You can use the rudder to "yaw" inside of slew mode, and this is probably the culprit. (This is not really a Windows 7 issue, but rather a FSX issue...)-Greg
March 2, 201115 yr To hitch onto Greg's explanation: In game, go to Settings/Controls. Select Control Axis tab. Find your joystick in the dropdown and click on it. Select Slew button on the right. My personal choice is to have the "Forward" axis set for Y (normally your elevator axis), Slew Sideways set for X (normally your ailerons), and Slew Rotation as Z (rudders or twist grip). Any other axis settings are up to you, but you will mostly want these planes of motion available. Now when you select the Y key for slew, simply move the joystick and/or rudders to do your wishes.
