November 16, 200322 yr Hi there,I have just bought FS2002 (Finally), and have been flying MS Flight Sim since FS98.I have always used FS Navigator 4.5 as I find it great for getting around the FS world, and great for planning, however I cannot seem to get it to work with Phoenix Dash 8-300 Pro. I have had a nightmare trying to get the aircraft to stay on course, remain at the correct altitude, and get the FMS to tie in with the autopilot.I am really at my wits end with it, which a real shame as I love turbo props, and the Dash 8 is one of my favourite aircraft! Please, please, please can someone help me!
November 16, 200322 yr FSNavigator can only control aircraft that use the default microsoft aircraft panels. I have almost every payware aircraft out there and FSNavigator can control none of them other than tuning your radios for you. Will
November 16, 200322 yr Commercial Member We are glad that you are enjoying the PSS Dash 8, and you continue to do so. However, the aircraft has been designed to utilize its own autopilot system which is fully explained in the manual/tutorial. Coupling with FSNavigator is not an option. Take some ime to learn the aircraft and its various systems and it will make your flying experience twice ot even three times as much fun.FSNavigator is a great utility by itself or when used in conjuction with other aircraft. However the Dash is not one of them. The onboard FMS (manual route building/FS Flight Plan import) along with the various features of the autopilot will take care of you demands.EnjoyKroswyndDash 8 Systems Trainer/DispatcherPSS Beta TesterP.S.This post was not made to introduce the "what PSS should have and should not have done." November 16, 200322 yr Something about old dogs and new tricks, springs to mind!!!:D Thanks for the help, I have started to make real progress today on using the FMS. I found that creating a longer flight helped, as the London (Ont) to Pearson tutorial flight was a little short.I look forward to spending many more hours flying the type. All the best
