CTD when special FMC action

Featured Replies

guess I did not post this here yet but now it is about time as it just happend again. my JS causes a CTD under win7 ultimate 64b under (few) certain circumstances which are if I use the FMC in a specific way. just did the following 5 mins ago: takeoff at EDDM, heading 300 at FL160 into EDDF. Then I decided to setup the FMC due to bad weather approaching. if I remember correctly I first selected approach, entered EDDF and hit ENTER. Then I selected RUNWAY on the FMC and 26R, followed by ENTER again. Then the STAR PSA3A and ENTER again and then the sim decided to freeze, ending in a win7 like CTD (except that I chose not to restart FSX).any idea why this CTD happens? my only other big iron planes are the 748i and LDS767 besides a Carenado Cessna and all others behave just fine. the JS too except when I program the FMC the way I described above. When I follow the complete setup per one of the great checklists floating around here, i.e. starting e.g. on ground w/ departure, arrival and waypoints then all is fine. The CTD only occurs when I program the FMC while in flight...phil

UPDATE: submitted a ticket and got prompt reply from Ryan with a possible solution I will try tonight. Will report back when this topic can (hopefully) be closed soon.
