PSS A340 Questions

Featured Replies

I have already put this on the Pheonix Forum, and got an answer to the first question that all engines and APU must be off for fuel adjustments. I have received no replies relative to the second two questions and thought that maybe with more exposure someone might know the solution here, particularly to the third question. 1. How do you adjust fuel quantity? In PS9's fuel and payload> change fuel provisions, when I make a change and check ok, my change is not retained and the quantity goes back to the original figures. The only way I have been able to make a change is to go to another aircraft, make the change and then reselect the A340. The change does not always track with the identical percentage that I set in the other aircraft in each tank and is inconsistant. 2. Frankly fuel usage looks a bit unrealistic as well. I am showing about a 15,000 mile range for 43 hours @ 75% fuel quantity at fl310 and mach 0.79. Am I correct that these calcualtions in the files are corrupt and if so, is there a correction planned in a future patch?3. After setting up a flight with the FMC, initiating the flight, and actuating the autopilot, is there any way to totally disengage the autopilot and go back to manual flight (yoke and footpedals)? I am able to disengage the FMC control and manually set headings, speed and altitude in the autopilot, but have not been able to find the way to toally disengage the autopilot. Aileron and Rudder control by the yoke remains dead after I click off the autopilot and autothrottle. The only way I have found to recover use of the yoke is to reset the aircraft.I am afraid I am overlooking this in the manual. Thanks:RTH
