November 18, 200322 yr Has anyone felt the need, or seen an improvement on installing any upgraded or add-on trees in FS9? For example Gerrish's trees that were so well done for FS2002.If so, what trees, and how'd they work out?Joe
November 19, 200322 yr Gerrish's trees were a great improvement for fs2002. For FS9 I like stock better. When I first installed Gerrish's trees in FS9 I thought I liked them better, until I did a reinstall and got the original trees back. I now know I like the originals better for FS9 because Gerrishes trees have more detail but unfortunately cause a shimmering effect like you get with tree macro's on addon scenery, this shimmering can be reduced by increasing anti-aliasing, but I think the default trees just work better and look fine.
November 19, 200322 yr Thanks for your reply. I had Gerrish's trees installed in FS2002 and they were perfect in that sim. Wouldn't mind seeing someone come up with trees for FS9 that are easier on the frames. And before you ask, I would just mess it up and my machine would probably blow up from my baffoonery. (A colorful way of saying, I'd have no idea how to do it)
November 19, 200322 yr I use Gerrishs trees and they look fine and have no adverse effects at all. Colin
