November 22, 200322 yr I want to reduce the amount the seat lowers and raises when pushing Shift- +/-I know in FS2002 there was something in one of the .cfg's that would reduce this factor. Thanks in advance.Adam

November 22, 200322 yr >Which is?????!!!!!.....What?...You wanna know how to do it???!!! ;-)Under the CONTROLS section of your fs9.cfg, change PAN_RATE=400 to a lower number. I like 100. It really slows the panning around the outside down, but gives a lot more control inside...a simple matter of preference.Adam
November 22, 200322 yr Author Oh rats. I have mine set to 900 so that I can see who's blowing raspberries at me from behind when in VC; as I often get shunted up the blurter by noisy smelly jets when I'm gently floating my DC-3 on final at 85 knots, it's pretty important to be able to look around as ATC seems to be out to lunch sometimes. So I guess I'll still be whizzing up and down on my seat. Call me "Pogo" Beaumont from now on ... what goes up must come down ... boing, boing, BOEING! ... aaaarrrrrgggghhh! Thanks, Adam.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontP.S. Sorry ... it's the whisky on my Cornflakes that does it.http://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM

November 24, 200322 yr I want to reduce the amount the seat lowers and raises when pushing Shift- +/- I know in FS2002 there was something in one of the .cfg's that would reduce this factor. Now I am confused. I thought that if as I fly I hit < Shift +/- > I change my Zoom factor. I also thought that to raise/lower the viewing angle of my my seat I hit < Shift Enter/Backspace >.Can you please explain?Stamatis
November 24, 200322 yr No need to be confused. It was I that was confused. You're correct about the key combos.Adam
November 25, 200322 yr Adam,So what you are saying is that the magnitude of the up and down movement when pressing Shift+Enter and/or Shift+Backspace can be influenced by the pan_rate= entry in the cfg file?I am still using FS2002 and I do not know if it works for FS2002 also, but I will try it out next time I "fly"!Stamatis
November 25, 200322 yr >Adam,>>So what you are saying is that the magnitude of the up and>down movement when pressing Shift+Enter and/or Shift+Backspace>can be influenced by the pan_rate= entry in the cfg>file?Yes, the lower the number, the smaller increments. It's way too much with the default setting. I use 100.>>I am still using FS2002 and I do not know if it works for>FS2002 also, but I will try it out next time I "fly"!>>StamatisI first did it with FS2002,though I don't remember how it was done. It was similar in that it just required a simple edit of the .cfg.The topic has gotta be here somewhere in the forum as I searched it out when using FS2002. I'd try to find it for ya now, but I gotta go to work.Good luck Stamatis,Adam
