RealAir Decathalon- Lights/Battery Question

Featured Replies

Hi,Anyone else find that the battery switch also seems to turn on the panel lights on in the new RealAir Decathalon? Every time I start it up from cold I have to turn off the lights, wondering if this is something with my setup or if others also have the same problem?Best,Joel

HI Joel,If you look at the lighting section in the guide we explain about the panel lights:FS2004 rather over reacts to lower light levels in the late afternoon, early morning and of course dusk. The VC panel tends to go too dark when not backlit by the sun. So we load the Decathlon, and for that matter the updated Sf260 with panel lights on, and that explains them coming on with the battery switch. However, you can turn off the Panel/VC cockpit light at any time with the appropriate switch if you prefer. This is especially a good thing to do if you want to see the night-time backlit gauges which will add to the atmosphere.Flight Simulator has rather restricted implimentation of lights and we wanted to free up the usual link between landing lights and gauge lighting.Cheers,Rob - RealAir Simulations

Thanks Rob, I figured there must be some good thinking behind it, and indeed there is. Sorry I didn't catch that in the documentation.Best,Joel
