Why does FS2004 always set the mags to both?

My default profile is the Cessna 182 shut down on the ramp at my local airport. I saved it with everything off. When I create a new flight, the mag switch is always set on both. Is there a way to fix this?

Wow... I haven't heard anyone mention this so I thought it was just me or my system screwing up somehow. Good question. Any ideas?
