Ken Mitchell's Panel is not clikable

Featured Replies

Dear All,I am newbie in this forum - so please kindly bear with me, but not in flight simming.I just got new computer witn Win7 32 bit installed, replacing the old one with XP. I moved and re-installed all the add-ons, sceneries, aircrafts, panels, etc at the new computer. All are working well, except Ken's panel. It is not clickable anymore. I set my flight cold dark, with the panel is not functioning, I couldn't even switch the battery on.Anybody ever had the same/similar experience? Any advise will be highly appreciated.Thank you for stopping by

Welcome to AVSIM. Please tell us which panel you are referring to and which airplane you are trying to use it with. Please also tell us how you installed the panel and gauges.Best regards,Mel

HI Mel,Thank you for the greetings and your reply.I am using A330 Ken Mitchell's panel on the POSKY A330 (No VC model). It was used to working very well at my old computer.I just copied the panel from aircraft folder in the old computer into the aircraft folder in the new one. I copied also the gauges folder.Does this have something to do with the FSUIPC? The only different between the old and new is that the new doesn't have the FSUIPC installed. My feeling says, it has nothing to do with FSUIPC, but I could be totally wrong.Best regards,Arryo

I just looked through the original file: ab330kmp, correct one? The FSUIPC.dll is required for the dsd_fuel_dump, dsd_xml_config, and dsd_xml_sound2 gauges to work. The dsd_xml_config gauge and the ab330km_config configuration file would be the files that set the state of your gauges i.e. seatbelt, when you load the airplane/panel. I checked the ab330km_config configuration file and there is no reference to battery state, so at least the battery switch should work, . . . hmmmmm. At this point I will make a assumption; When you load the A330 you can see the gauge bitmaps showing on the panel, yes? Check the autopilot switches, they should have a off condition bitmap showing. If not, the Z_AB330KM CAB file may be missing. Next; when you place the mouse on a switch does the pointer arrow actually change to the little hand or whatever W7 does to indicate a click spot? If not, that also indicates a missing or not found gauge. Here is the list of gauges you should have in your gauge folder:ab330km_configab330km_fuel_dumpab330km_soundAB340KM_airspeedAB340KM_altimeterAB340KM_STBATTdsd_fuel_dumpdsd_xml_configdsd_xml_sound2Z_AB330KMI hope this will help.Regards,Mel
