Paintkit Issue

Featured Replies

Hello all,First - thanks to all the developers for this wonderful bird, and for now making it work in FSX!! I'm very grateful!I'm trying to do a repaint of the Mouse in AccessAir colors - a good friend of mine used to be a dispatcher for them. So first, the disclaimers:1) This is my first repaint for FSX, so I'm learning as I go :( 2) I'm using GIMP, as Photoshop is not in the budget for what might amount to just one repaint (though I am having fun with this so who knows...)So, here's what I have so far:Full Template - AccessAirAnd so far so good. However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix the following issue with the Light and Shade layer:Light and Shade LayerThe white rectangle translates to a very dark shaded area on the top of the fuselage. I can't select it and delete it within GIMP - nor can I paste over it. It simply won't go away. I'm not sure if this is a GIMP problem, a problem with me not knowing how to work GIMP properly, a problem with the layer itself, or if I'm missing something completely obvious (wouldn't surprise me!) Can anyone help me out here? Pretty much everything else is going according to plan; I just need to figure this out and I think I'm good to go.Thanks in advance for your help!Mark
