Fellow simmers, I am having a hard time understanding what I just expirienced. Last week my GTX 470 went bad , so I decided its time to upgrade and ordered the GTX 590. In the mean time I threw in an old ATI HD4830 512mb PCI express x 16 2.0 card. I figured that would be enough just for everyday use no simming. So I also went ahead and loaded my defaults in my BIOS. System Specs : EVGA 3X SlI MOBO, I7-980x stock speeds, 10 GB kingston Hyper X mem, 1X 150gb raptor for os and FSX and one 640 GB for storage, graphics ATI HD 4830. Yesterday I wanted to fire up the sim and just check something on the Aerosoft Airbus X. Note: All sliders max. I load up the Aircraft, REX , and PNW by orbx, Aircraft sitting at SEA. WHat happens next shocked me. The sim loaded up ( No overclock on anything) Im looking out cockpit scnenry looks crisp, I think to my self ok im stationary. I look at my FPS locked @ 30 and no fluctuation. So i decided to set up a quick flight and see what happens. By the way its raining out.... Now im at full throttel...rotate....Im up....Can this be true, am I dreaming? My fellow simmers I flew a 30 minute flight with out a shutter, crisp scenery with rex loaded, and GEX, PNW ORBX and I maintained 30 FPS the whole time. Can this be true? Can someon explain this? WHen overclocked to 4.7 ghz the I7 980 x with the GTX 470 just barely kept 30 FPS with weather and flying into SEA. Any Ideas?????

New card and evetrything works. That's good, right? So, why not go fly instead of asking yourself why everything works?

Well I am asking because Iam supprised to see the performance with a low end video card and no overclock on anything. While we are all spending money on the newest and best hardware, you come across something that ive come across...your kinda puzzled.
