Installation problem ?

Featured Replies

I am a new novice user and am trying to install MS Flight Simulator 2004 on a PC with Windows XP. Installation proceesds well then asks that the simulator be restarted and "Load FS2004 Disc 4" appears Have tried all 4 installation discs without sucess. Can anyone point me in the right direcction ?Robert

When you install FS2004 it will ask in turn for each Disk 1,2,3 and 4.When it has finished copying the files from the Disks there should be a short time ( 2-5 mins depending on your system) when it decompresses and configures etc. the files it has copied to your HDD.Finally ,when it is ready, it will tell so- usually asks if you want to run now.Your Disk number 4 should still be in your CD drive and the simulator will run.If you have removed the Disk 4 you need to replace it in the drive, click the FS2004 Icon on your desktop and, usually after a slight pause the first time,FS2004 will start. It will not run without the Disk in the drive unless you use a "no CD" program of some kind (such as CD emulation or virtual CD applications).Every time you wish to fly you must place Disk 4 in the CD drive before clicking the FS2004 Icon.Have funDave

There are several instances where RAM drives, and total CD copying programs loaded on a computer will cause SafeDisk to reject or keep asking for CD4. If you have any of these installed on your computer, you might try uninstalling them.Visit this site for more information - http://www.compucations.com/nuke/html/modules.php?name=TopW. Sieffert
