How does the A-340 handle?

Featured Replies

Does the A-340 handle like a 777 or 747 or is it smooth like the smaller airbus planes? I'm looking for a powerful big airliner add-on and I can't decide between an airbus a-330, a-340, 747. Help! I enjoy short-medium flights but landing a 747 is just too hard most of the time. Does the a340 land good?

Alex:IMHO the PSS A340 is great, and I have little gripe with it. It is smooth on my system. It is a bit of a frame eater, but if you are not a VC addict and can do without the virtual bit, delete that out of the panel config and it gets pretty good frame rates. Now, the other side of the coin. There are all kinds of posts relative to horror stories concerning this plane. I don't know whether I just lucked out and fell into it or not, but I am not having all of these troubles I read about. I think it is a great plane. I am sure somebody else will enlighten us about whatever bad experiences they have had.For ten bucks, it is not as big a gamble as most.Good Luck!RTH

The Aerodesigns A340 is a freeware beauty! it is very detailed, has a very decent panel, and if you download the non-virtual cockpit version, it won't kill your frame-rates. And yes, it handles very well, much like a A320, but feeling heavier....obviously!!

So what is the link to the Aerodesign A-340
