Good desktop for FS9

Featured Replies

Hi there, I'm looking for a new desktop or even to rebuild my current dekstop, for FS2004 to run smoothly with good FPS on maximum graphic settings. Basically if anybody can help me to find the right graphics cards CPU's or even a desktop for a good FS9 set up i will appreciate greatly. Also i'm intending to use software such as CaptainSim AES and REX. I would like to spend under £500 ($750) (My desktop accepts Intel chipsets and Nivdia cards.)aCheers, Tom

Just built my computer (in my sig) from scratch for $484 USD from Newegg. FS9 screams with it all maxed out. And with your budget, you could add an SSD or a great video card. Any way you go, with a $750 budget, you'll be able to get a killer FS9 system.I posted some pics with frame rates here:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/329231-terrible-performance-fs9/page__st__25__p__1970102#entry1970102

Which reads:>>>We have moved the existing FSX Hardware forum out to the MS Flight Simulation Conference level, placing it directly below the FS9 and FSX forums, presumably making it easier to access and readily available.>>>I have no idea what the name of this forum is or where it is. Directly below this forum is the one for the new Flight application from MS.However, much further down the list of forums is a group of 4 relating to Hardware. I don't find the link you quote here particularlyhelpful and it would be nice to know the name of the forum that is being referenced and where it is. --Jim
