December 4, 200322 yr I have the replacement clouds and use online weather from Jeppesen in FS9. Does anyone notice that when on the ground and it is overcast, once you start to climb out, it doesnt stay overcast. The sky becomes broken and you can see the ground. I have never been able to approach an overcast sky, climb through and have overcast sky below me. Is this because I am using the replacement (low fps) cloud textures? Are there any settings i can do to improve this? Will Active sky help? I also use FSUIPC. Same thing happens on approach. Once I get to about 1500 agl, the sky goes from broken to overcast or it will start to rain. ThanksBrad Zimmer
December 5, 200322 yr real-world weather download will only simulate overcast weather up to around 1000 feet., beyond that you will need sun tan lotion
