Adding Landing Lights

Featured Replies

Hi All,I have several downloaded aircraft in which the landing lights never work. They are all based upon default planes in FS.Are there any lines of text that I could copy from the default aircraft that I could add to the files in these planes to get the landing/taxi lights to function? I'd sure appreciate learning about it if it can be done.Thanx, John

Hi John,Some "absence of lighting" issues with FS2004 might be because your hardware lighting effects have not been turned up high enough. Check your FS2004 display menu and make sure all the effects sliders are at max.Rob Young

Hi Rob,Thanks for the response. I'm afraid that's not the problem because the landing lights are just fine with the FS9 default Boeings, and the other default aircraft.I suspect there is text in the Air file or the Config files that enables the landing lights to work in the default aircraft and is missing in the 'downloaded' planes. The problem is, I can't identify which lines of text make the difference.John
