Hi,how is the atc behaving in fs9 when you are flying a pattern at an airport. Have you to tell the downwind and base and final anounces for the tower or not.Does the ATC give you the pattern altitude? Are there also UNICOM at the samll airports? Thanks for the pacient to answer all that questionTFT

When flying patterns on FS9 at a controlled field, they'll just clear you for left/right traffic. Somewhere on downwind they'll just clear you to land. You don't have to report legs and such. I've had other planes come in while I was doing pattern work, and they just tell whoever to enter the pattern, or fly straight in.That's pretty much the way my real world experience has been. I haven't done touch-n-goes at a controled field in a while, but most of the time they'll tell you to report base leg. When you call base, they say "cleared for the option" which means you can do a touch-n-go, stop-n-go, or full stop. A few times other traffic came in, and I was told to extend my downwind and land behind the other traffic. I've yet to have this happen in FS9, they usually clear incoming traffic to enter the pattern or straight in. Then I guess it's who get's there first that gets cleared to land.
