HI! I've simmed on and off over the years with various versions of FS. mostly I've used FS9. I just got a new computer with an i7 quad core, and Radeon 9770 which runs FS9 with all the sliders maxed, with frame rates right at 60.I just received FSX, loaded it up and have had the following issues:1. (background--i loaded FSX at C:\FSX", ran a flight, loaded up the acceleration pack and FS ran fine.) The next day I got a fatal error a couple of times while starting it up. Rebooted, got it to run "ok". Frame rates are "so-so" to excellent.2. If I am in 2D cockpit mode, in some aircraft (747-300 IIRC), if I switch to right window view, and then back to straight ahead, WHEN THE MINI PANEL IS DISPLAYED, the game freezes for more than 15 seconds. Eventually it begins working again. This happens EVERY TIME I switch back to straight ahead view, after looking out of a side window. The problem doesn't occur in full-panel mode, or no-panel mode, and there is no issue with panning in 3D mode. IIRC, I am not having this issue when running in "preview DX-11" mode.3. Spot and Spot-locked is not very smooth, so it's not any fun to use. Using 2 and 3D cockpit modes, I get FR generally over 30. It doesn't matter if I'm in an area with 30+ FR, if I go to spot/spot-locked, the result is herky-jerky. FS9 plays ultra smoothly in all modes on this same PC. 4. What's with the "preview DX11" mode, anyway? Why isnt it just "DX11"?5. In preview-DX11 mode, anyplace on the runway that has an intersecting runway or taxiway, there is a flashing of the graphics, across that section of the runway pavement. Other than that anomaly, DX11 seems fine in the short time I've played with it..6. What file/line/value would I edit to slow down panning in 3D mode, when using the joystick hat button?

4. There is a new version of FSX with DX11 preview? It was DX10 preview. FSX was developed as a DX9 application. DX10 has it's problems with this software (unless they changed it in newer boxed DVDs, but there should have been a SP for the older copies).5. That's why I don't use DX10 preview. I think someone came up with a fix by adding a concrete apron to airports where this is occuring.6. It's in your Cameras.cfg file located in Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX if you are using Vista or Windows 7. See PitchPanRate and HeadingPanRate under CameraDefinition.002.Art
