How much FPS u think...

Featured Replies

Hello, I am just curios how much FPS will I get in FS2004? Every slider to max, for example at Amsterdam EHAM Aerosoft airport, with iFly 737 in VC turned with nose direction to the buildings and a lot of clouds form REX, FS Global, online in Vatsim with at least 6-7 traffics on the ground. Now, with my pressent pc i am getting ~18-20 FPS. The new pc will be: i5 2500k @ 4.0 GHz, 4GB 1600 DDR3 ram, GTS 250 @ 720, HDD 750GB 64mb, 550W PSU, 22" LG 1680x1050.

Why not upgrade to FSX? Much better 3rd party add-ons (ie; Orbx).May be better to get a stronger GPU - GTX 460 to a GTX 590 (somewhere inbetween would work great with the 2500k...)

This would be the nex step...but after a while.

Any other suggestions?

It will run fs2004 great. Seriously bring that 2500k to at least 4.5 . And really you need minimum GTX460 so the gpu won't be a bottleneck. With a system like that with my recommendations you need to seriously consider FSX. You would have one of the higher end pc's in the FSworld. Also the NGX!!!

Maybe I will continue fly on FS2004 while I am still with GTS250, and in the future when i upgrade my video will try FSX. I am sure this GTS will not be enough for FSX.
