FS2004 : good for Canada and Hawaii only!!!

Featured Replies

Flying from Honolulu to Maui, I get 20 fps and smooth flight. Going from Calgary to Edmonton (Canada), again, smooth flight but a flight from Montreal to NY-LGA ends at 3 to 4 fps with stuttttters...What's going on? Is FS9 alergic to "dense sceneries" like NY??? My system is Pentium 4, 1.5, 512 ram. My video card is Asus GeForce FX 5200.My settings are : normal. I diseabled Autogen.

One thing that the FS versions of Canada and Hawaii share in common (and not with the east coast of the US) is a relatively light amount of AI traffic. What are your traffic settings like? If they're high, try cranking them down to a lower percentage and see if it doesn't have a positive effect on frame rates. Or disable the AI traffic altogether just for a test. You might be surprised at the results.

exit out into windows, check your memory useage.. could have a memory leak.umm.. also it just could have more detail.. calgary and edmonton area is not so detailed in flightsime. im sure the east is way more detailed.
