July 5, 201114 yr Hi folks!I just saw this: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE523Looks like it will be arriving in BHM in a few hours. Does anyone know what this is all about? Why would they want to come here? I'd like to see if I can catch its arrival and departure, but I don't really know how to find its agenda.BTW: For those interested in the BHM expansion project:The project is now well underway. See here for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingham-Shuttlesworth_International_Airport#Terminal_Expansion_and_ModernizationTerminal A has been demolished, Terminal B has been closed, and the old cargo terminal has also been demolished. Terminal C is currently handling all flights. Do to the lack of sufficient gates, many planes are being parked on the apron where passengers are boarded by stairs. Foundation work for the new terminal A is slated to start this month.. Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)

I was considering flying into BHM to head to Auburn for the opening football game...looks like I'll just head to Atlanta. That does seem kind of odd that they are heading there with it. BHM wouPld be WAY faster than ATL. Even though all flights are operating out of term. C, there are no delays caused by the construction. I flew out of BHM last week, and it was fine. They knocked down a wall inside the terminal in order to add more TSA screening lines. The whole operation is running very smooth. They also added more restaurant options inside of C to meet the demand. Like I said, there are no delays at all caused by construction. You could check in, get through security, and board your flight in less time than it would take just to get through security at ATL. Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)

Sorry about that :) Brian Berkowicz
July 5, 201114 yr Author I must have missed the part with no delays. Sorry about that :)No worries. It was my fault for not being clear. The purpose of the post was just to inform those who might find it interesting, not to advise people not to fly there. For the record: There are no delays because of the expansion project. :D Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
