Hi,(I did a search on the internet , but I found little results and some said one thing some said another )I recently bought an i7 2600. Looking at the specs I see that the stock speed is 3.40, but if "turbo-boosted" it will reach 3.80.Does this happen automatically, or do I have actually do something like "activate" the turbo-boost?thanks.

The 2600 will run at 3.8Ghz automatically, whenever the load requires it. It will also throttle down to 1.6Ghz automatically when load is very light.Google CpuZ, use it to check what speed your computer is running at under different loads.
