NGX and airline checkrides/assessments

Featured Replies

Whilst surfing around pprune I came across this thread about a commercial outfit called Flight Experience using custom cockpits coupled with the old PMDG NG for FS9. Apart from the usual remarks about Flight sims and poor working conditions I found these comments:http://www.pprune.org/dg-p-general-aviation-questions/458069-what-laugh-flight-experience.html

Either way the franchise "flight experience" Microsoft 737NG are certainly useful as far as cockpit familiarisation is concerned (and significantly less cost to the candidate) but just be aware the fidelity in some areas lacks that of real simulators. In particular, the steep turn manouvre, tested as part of the airline assessment in the real simulators, has a significantly different nose attitude than in the flight experience Microsoft trainer. None of the airlines concerned use the automatic pilot, flight directors or automatic throttle during the actual test in the real simulator.
Virgin actually gives the applicant the flight profile (with weather details and briefing notes) that they use in the sim. The sim company that I worked for actually programmed the flight into their sim.
Just curious, has PMDG considered designing the flight dynamics for the NGX with potential airline applicants in mind by providing an accurate simulation of a real airline simulator checkride/accessment experience? e.g. Better simulations of steep turns and other hand-flown maneuvers that occurs during a checkride. IMO previous PMDG aircraft has always been very systems focused with complex autopilots and engine behaviour, but no real push to the limits with regards to the FS flight dynamic engine. Also will PMDG or perhaps AOA create FSX missions which simulates these checkrides, complete with voiceovers?

I dont think you can create a mission with the mission creator with this kind addon/coding.
