Speakers

Featured Replies

I have a set of creative 2.1 speakers I am thinking of getting a set of creative 5.1 speakers. Flight Sim is the only game I play. Will these speakers work good or will it give the game an unreal effect with some of the sound behind me.Thanks Chuck

Hi,I found on my system that fs9 reverts the speakers back to the 2.1 setup and I havn't found a work around for it yet. Other then this small problem, go for the 5.1, you won't regret it.Ed

Remember that 5.1 speakers need a suitable hook up to work correctly. Either a dedicated sound card (Creative Audigy) or onboard 5.1 sound capability from the MoBo (mine has 2 sound jacks, one for the front speakers and one for the back pair).

Been playing around with speaker settings for a long time now. Got 5.1 speakers installed. I like the grunt of the MAAM B-25 engines. Got them coming out of the two front speakers and the sub-woofer down under the computer desk. It rocks. The two rear speakers only chime-in for ATC conversation and engine start up/shut down. Maybe, not perfect -- but it gives the illusion of sound coming from different areas of the aircraft. Almost like being in the aircraft and hearing the various sounds come from different parts of the whole. Good thing I live in a fairly remote place where it doesn't disturb the neighbors. Hope this helps a little.Frenchy -- out.

Frenchy, How did you accomplish that?Best,Bruno Francescoli.
